Lake County General Health District sanitarians investigate nuisance complaints to determine if there is a public health risk or environmental crime. Conditions that may warrant a complaint include issues such as open dumping of solid waste (i.e. garbage, rubbish, tires, etc.), rats, sewage leaks, and animal waste. To submit a nuisance complaint to the Environmental Health Division, please completely fill in the form below. Incomplete information or addresses may prevent the complaint from being investigated. You will be contacted once the complaint has been investigated and/or resolved. Anonymous complaints are accepted only under certain circumstances. Please call (440) 350-2543 during normal business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays to file an anonymous complaint. If you would like to followup on a complaint you have already filed, you can also call (440) 350-2543 during normal business hours. For complaints regarding the interior conditions of a house or apartment, visit LCGHD’s Housing Conditions page to complete the form.
