The Lake County General Health District is kicking off its new initiative, Motivate Lake County, with Family Health and Wellness Day at the Wickliffe Community Center on August 10, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This health fair is free and open to the public. It will provide free health screenings, including cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure checks provided by University Hospitals, oxygen saturation and BMI checks by hChoices, balance assessments by Osteostrong, hearing screenings by Holly’s Hearing, and much more. Participants will have opportunities to win some prizes, and check out local area vendors. There will be games and activities for kids and adults.
Motivate Lake County is a new county-wide wellness program that impacts youth, adults, and seniors. The initiative is designed to inspire, engage, and educate the community and workforce to become a healthier version of themselves. The program will include health fairs, wellness challenges, classes, presentations, social events, support groups, and more.
