The Lake County General Health District will be offering several Overdose Prevention Education (Project DAWN) clinics in the month of September. Clinics will be held at the following locations:
- Signature Health, located at 38882 Mentor Ave, Willoughby, 44094 on September 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
- Crossroads Health, (formerly known as Beacon Health), located at 9220 Mentor Ave, Mentor, 44060 on September 10, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
- Lake County General Health District, located at 5966 Heisley Rd, Mentor, 44060 on September 19, 2019 at 12:30 p.m.
- Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine, located at 35900 Euclid Ave, Willoughby, 44094 on September 25, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
These clinics are available to any Ohio resident who is interested in obtaining the knowledge and skills to recognize an overdose and use Naloxone (NARCAN®). If eligible, you will receive a Naloxone (NARCAN®) kit at no cost. The Surgeon General of the United States Public Health Service emphasizes the importance of the overdose-reversing drug Naloxone, as stated in his advisory on Naloxone and Opioid Overdose.
