Lake County General Health District (LCGHD) has been notified that a person who was present at Lake County First Responder’s First Annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 11 at Captain’s Stadium in Eastlake has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the large number of people present, many of whom were not wearing masks, LCGHD feels it is important to notify the public. This individual was in attendance from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m., and was not experiencing symptoms at the time. Symptoms began to develop on Monday, October 12, making it possible this person was contagious while at the event.
Individuals who attended this event are urged to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus, and may include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.
