The Environmental Health Division works closely with local, regional, state, and national partners to address the needs

and concerns of our residents and community partners. Environmental Health is the branch of public health that focuses on the interrelationships between people and their environment, promotes human health and well-being, and fosters healthy and safe communities. Our dedicated staff, which includes Registered Environmental Health Specialists, Registered Environmental Health Specialists-in-Training and administrative support staff, works to prevent environmental health hazards and to protect and promote public health.

Core activities include but are not limited to: consultation, coordination, data collection and management, education, emergency preparedness and response, enforcement, integration of related public health disciplines to attack the burdens of chronic disease, investigation, monitoring and prevention.
