ARCHIVED PRESS RELEASE: LCGHD Warns Local Residents of Scam

Lake County General Health District (LCGHD) has received information that a Mentor resident received an unsigned letter from Ron Graham, Health Commissioner that served as a notice that LCGHD would be placing air samplers in the resident’s home to monitor for illness. The letter is a scam. LCGHD is not placing air samplers inside of any homes or businesses. Contact your local law enforcement agency and the LCGHD at (440) 350-2543 if you receive an unsolicited letter, telephone call, or visit from LCGHD, or if other suspicious activity is noted.
